The free version of Word Tracker is great for finding the primary and most searched for keywords. Just don't overlook the long tailed keywords. Especially in a PPC campaign, the medium and long tailed keywords are most likely the most profitable.

Keywords are always helpful in searching google. Though you need to be very specific in putting the keywords and searching it so that the result of your research would be more congruent on what you are looking for.

A good way to get keyword suggestions is to use Google Adwords keyword tool. First, you need an Adwords account. Then start a new PPC campaign for your site and use the keyword tool to find not only keywords that people have searched on but also their relative popularities.

What i have found is that, the keyword tools are good but, what is the commercial intent of the keyword, can i make money or is it sucking my flow dry, how long before you figure out the keywords are no good. just because a keyword has a high price tag on it may not produce one red cent.
