Ontario Nature protects and restores natural habitats through research, education and conservation. Established as the Federation of Ontario Naturalists in 1931, Ontario Nature has been the voice for nature in Ontario. From spearheading the creation of a wilderness area in Algonquin Park in 1934, working towards the creation of the Oak Ridges Moraine Conservation Plan in 2001, advocating the timely revision in 2007 of the original 1971 Endangered Species Act, Ontario Nature has been nature’s champion.
